Library Cards - How do I get a Library card?

Harris County Public Library offers card free for all Texas residents. If you are a resident of Harris County, you can obtain instant access to eBooks, streaming movies, music, and more by obtaining an iKnow Digital Access Card. You need to turn on or enable geolocation to let the system verify your location first.
If you are not qualified for the ecard, or want to upgrade it to a regular card, then you will need to come to the library. You will need to fill out a library card application and take that along with proof of mailing address (e.g. license, piece of mail, etc.) to one of our branches (https://www.hcpl.net/locations).
